A regular 10-minute Airbus Express service is available from the airport for all travelers to Auckland’s CBD and to the city’s waterfront Downtown Ferry Terminal. Simply hop on and buy your tickets directly from one of our friendly drivers or book on-line at www.airbus.co.nz, tickets cost about NZ$16 one way… look out for the bright blue bus.
Devonport Bus routes
There are 5 bus routes that operate to and around the Devonport area including Bayswater and Stanley Bay, the 813, 815, 779, 803 and 804.
Bus 813 – This bus runs from Takapuna to the wharf to connect with ferry arrivals and departures. It departs from Takapuna Transport Centre (Stop 1) and travels via Lake Road, Old Lake Road, Vauxhall Road, Albert Road then Victoria Road to the Devonport Wharf. To get from Devonport Wharf to Takapuna, the route is reversed.
Bus 779 – This bus departs from the wharf and travels via King Edward Parade, Cheltenham Road, Tainui Road, Vauxhall Road, Church Street and King Edward Parade to Devonport Wharf. The bus then continues via Victoria Road, Calliope Road Road to Stanley Point and back along Calliope Road, and Victoria Road to the Devonport wharf.
Bayswater
The ferry wharf is at the end of Norwood Road. The bus routes which will take you to the wharf are:
803, 804 – These buses run from Takapuna to the wharf to connect with ferry arrivals and departures. The buses run via Milford, Smales Farm and North Shore Hospital.
Stanley Bay
The ferry wharf is right by the Calliope Reserve and can be accessed via Calliope Road. The bus route that will take you to and from the wharf is the 779.
Devonport and Bayswater Weekly Pass
The Devonport, Bayswater pass is available for use on all Ritchies and North Star bus services between Takapuna, Devonport and Bayswater.
